How do I install my eSIM on Android?

Install your eSIM while you are on Wi-Fi, ideally a day or two before you travel. Install it on the phone you will travel with: the eSIM is bound to that phone and cannot be moved to another one.

Option 1: one tap

On your phone, open the eSIM email or My account > My eSIMs and tap Install on Android. If your phone does not support one-tap install, use the QR code.

Option 2: scan the QR code

The screens below are from a Samsung Galaxy; other Android phones use similar menus (Google Pixel: Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > Add SIM).

1. Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the Settings cog.
2. Tap Connections.
3. Tap SIM manager.
4. Tap Add eSIM.
5. Tap Scan QR code.
6. Scan the QR code shown on another screen, from your email or My eSIMs.

QR code only on this phone?

Save the QR code to your photos, then on the scan screen tap the gallery button and choose the image.

Option 3: enter the code manually

1. On the scan screen, tap Enter activation code.
2. Paste the manual install code (LPA) from your email or My eSIMs and confirm.

After installing

When you arrive, turn on data for the eSIM.
